I just heard Bill Black on the realnews say that a group of Democrats called “the third way” are working with President Obama to privatize social security. Calling our senators and members of congress ought to be a top priority here.

William Brighenti, What’s up with CT? I just looked up the election results in CT, and in Wallingford Rocky Anderson beat Obama:

Romney 0 votes, Obama 9,259 votes, Rocky 11,559 votes, and, Johnson 75 votes
Overall, Rocky couldn’t match either Romney or Obamal however, he did get more than 50% more votes than Johnson. Not bad.

Yes, William Waugh, this website is going to be kept up.

I’d look to the politicians to fix this, and lately they may be more inclined. All of these cash dollars backfired on them. But I’d see Rocky as being more effective as a “progressive democrat.”

Is this site going to be kept running for a while? Because if not, I’m wondering about the utility of continuing to respond in comment threads.

Campaign finance reform — How will you educate the public? Not through the mass media, which just raked in close to the $6 billion which was spent on this recent election. Their greedy interests are served by keeping this current system in place. I don’t disagree. But how would it be implemented?

So what else is new?

Yea, I know, Bud. But the truth is that we just don’t know if the pipeline is bad because there is money flowing to politicians on both sides of the issue. I think Rocky’s position on campaign finance reform is the better fight.

Rumors have it that Obama will approve the extension of the Keystone Pipeline to the Gulf.
If these rumors are true, it will prove (beyond a shadow of a doubt) that Obama is a bought off corporatist who is not only willing to betray his base, but he is also willing to betray Mother Earth Herself!

The problem is that these things are supported by liberals. 53 percent of liberal democrats support drone strikes. Wider margins for moderate and conservative democrats. Much wider for republicans. For any politician elected in a democracy, if a majority supports something, they will too. If you want to change the politician, change the people. Change the liberals and the democrats who support drone strikes. Otherwise they’ll continue.

“Liberal” Pundits are Guilty of Brainwashing!
Stephanie Miller, Randi Rhodes, Ed Schultz, John Fugelsang, Hal Sparks, Thom Hartmann, etc. should stop brainwashing their audiences into believing that Obama is a good person who cares about the 99% here and around the world. If he were a good, caring person, he would not be supporting TPP, he would not have a kill list and use child-killing drones, he would not support drill baby drill and “clean coal”, he would not support NDAA, he would have fought for a Public Option and Card Check, he would have ended our unnecessary, insane wars 3 1/2 years ago, etc.!

Obama to resurrect Simpson-Bowles (or something very similar)!

What sick reasoning will phony liberal pundits, aka Obama apologists, come up with to excuse Obama when he (in cahoots with Republicans) resurrects Simpson-Bowles, viz. an Anti-Keynesian, austerity scam that will further enrich the 1% and further impoverish the 99%?
(I’m proud to say I voted for Rocky!)

I did not convince many people in Salmon Idaho to vote for Rocky. Now we have the lesser of two evils again. http://www.rootstrikers.org/ is Lawrence Lessig’s idea to fix this country. What do you think is next?

I am finding vote counts in my local newspaper. As of 11 PM last time, there were counted thus far 44 votes Rocky in my small hometown of Berlin, Connecticut.

44 people now support Rocky in my small piss town of Berlin. Hey, that’s a start. Last June, virtually no one knew of the existence of Rocky Anderson in Connecticut. Even the leader of Connecticut’s Independent Party had to ask me to repeat the name of Rocky Anderson when I spoke to him in June. Rocky had minimal national exposure prior to his running for President. The word is now getting out. We must all be patient.

@William Brighenti Where did you find how many votes were cast in individual states?

I stand corrected, Jack Lohman. We have two years. Two years is sufficient time; we only had months before. We can be ready. Let’s get organized now!

I disagree slightly. We have two years to field candidates for Rocky’s party, to help get the word out before his next run in 2016.

We are fighting global tyranny. We have only begun the fight. We are just starting to get organized. We have four years now, not just months, to organize, promulgate the message, register in all 50 states, get on the ballot in all 50 states, recruit candidates to run with Rocky Anderson in all the states, and get ready for 2016. This is not the time to wail and moan and look back. We all knew that the forces of evil would be a challenging foe. We have the most eloquent, honest, ethical candidate in Rocky Anderson. He reminds me of the eloquence of JFK and Bobby Kennedy. He is the message bearer of our party, our leader. Let us all now get busy for 2016 because jobs will continue to go overseas, social security and medicare and medicaid will be cut, homes will continue to foreclose, 30 million people will be without health insurance, global warming will continue, troops will still be in the Middle East, and further civil liberties will be stripped away. This time, in 2016, we will be ready. Let us renominate Rocky Anderson to run for 2016. Please, Rocky Anderson, announce your desire to run again. We need your voice.

I understand the corruption of the two-party system; go along to get along. Take the cash bribes, give favors to the bribers, and shut up. Though Bernie Sanders has bucked it successfully, I’m not interested in a win in 50 years. I’m 75!
