Really nice statement. Frankly, who cares anymore? The two-party system is so polarized and bought out by lobbyists that I have not associated myself with either party for years (since the first Bush era). I only vote on the platform – that is, the issues.
I encourage an approach that provides health care options for everyone. How to successfully achieve it without lowering standards or raising costs, I do not know. We need a strong leader.
The Watch Dog Committee must be accountable to the people, not to Congress, not to the President, and not to the Banks. How can that happen? Is it possible?
I agree with Just Torch and need to review (1) costs of life in prison versus the appeal process associated with the Death Penalty, and (2) how many cases are on file where the death penalty has been applied to innocent people. I am sure these cases are few and far between, but the consequences are enormous with respect to the fairness of our Justice system.
All I can say is thank you for having such a sensible approach to family planning.
